Kelly, Eugene
Eugene Kelly has been a professor at the New York Institute of Technology for over forty years. He is the former chairman of the Long Island Philosophical Society, and served for sixteen years as a member of its Advisory Board (Beirat). He is a member ex officio of the Committee on Teaching of the American Philosophical Society, whose Newsletter on Teaching he co-edits. His major area of research is early twentiethcentury German philosophy. Among his books are Max Scheler (1977); Structure and Diversity (1997); The Basics of Western Philosophy (2002); Material Ethics of Value; a translation, with introduction, of N. Hartmann’s Aesthetics (2014).
