Mallorquí-Ruscalleda, Enric
Enric Mallorquí-Ruscalleda, PhD from Princeton University, has taught at several prestigious institutions, including Princeton University, University of Western Ontario, California State University, University of Prince Edward Island, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. He is the author, co-author, editor, and co-editor of over 150 scholarly works published by leading peer-reviewed journals and academic presses in his field, such as Routledge and the University of Extremadura Press. He has co-authored two books on Lipsius and another on Puteanus, which is currently in press. Dr Mallorquí-Ruscalleda co-founded and was editor-in-chief of Studia Iberica et Americana from 2013 to 2023. He has also held roles as editorial co-director of the CEMOrOc at the University of São Paulo and co-editor-in-chief of International Studies on Law and Education, in addition to serving on numerous other editorial boards. He is actively involved in various international and interdisciplinary funded research groups. He has organized, presented at, or delivered keynote speeches at over 200 national and international conferences and has served on the committee for 7 doctoral dissertations. Dr. Mallorquí-Ruscalleda is affiliated with the Center for Catalan Studies at the University of California-Santa Barbara, the ISIC/IVITRA at the University of Alicante, and the International Research Institute for Iberian Studies at Uni Bamberg. He has also served as Board Director of the Midwest Association of Translators and Interpreters. His achievements have garnered multiple accolades, including a tribute at the University of São Paulo, with proceedings published, and the “International Award for Innovative Teaching” from the Brazilian Association of Distance Education. He has been elected a member of the Euro-Mediterranean Academy of Humanities, Social Sciences, and Education, the Academia Norteamericana de la Lengua Española (ANLE), and is currently a member of the Academia de las Ciencias y las Artes Militares (ACAMI). Dr Mallorquí-Ruscalleda is preparing for the oral defence of his second doctoral dissertation on Lipsius and Puteanus, scheduled for October 2024 at the University of Málaga under the supervision of Prof. Dr Cristóbal Macías Villalobos.
