Jaume Losa, Alejandro
Alejandro Andreas Jaume Losa is a PhD candidate in Bilingualism and Second Language Acquisition at Rutgers University-New Brunswick. He earned a Bachelor's in Humanities from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, graduating with highest honours, and an M.A.T. in Spanish Language Teacher Education from Indiana University–Purdue University Indianapolis. During his master's program, he was involved in the Emerging Scholars of College Instruction Program, which enhanced his teaching skills. Alejandro has extensive teaching and research experience. He has served as a Teaching Assistant at Rutgers and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, an Editorial Assistant for The Modern Language Journal, and a Research Intern with the Research Group on Sculpture of Classical Style in Barcelona, contributing to the study of classical sculpture. His scholarly work includes publications such as his bachelor’s thesis, "Roman Mallorca": A Route through the Archaeological and Documentary Heritage, and his master's thesis on multilingualism in Spain and the U.S., analyzing institutional and educational discourse in their sociopolitical contexts. Alejandro's interdisciplinary expertise extends to the arts; he holds a Professional Degree in Music in Trumpet from the Professional Conservatory of Music and Dance of Mallorca.
